Art Deco emerald-cut solitaire diamond ring. Centrally set with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, G colour, VS2 clarity with an approximate weight of 0.91 carats in an open back four claw setting, set to either side with two square step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.11 carats, to a geometric flanked solitaire with curving claws, finely pierced open gallery and intricately shaped backholing, the slightly raised shoulders smooth down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, English, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #2161870940.
