Description

Art Deco emerald and diamond ring. Set with an octagonal emerald-cut natural emerald with no colour enhancement in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.08 carats, additionally set with four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats, bordered by a row of twenty six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.74 carats, to an asymmetrical cluster design with an intricately pierced gallery and geometric backholing, the trumpeting openwork shoulders proceeding to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, inscribed to the interior 'Jean à Raymonde _ Noël 1938', circa 1938.
