Art Deco diamond ring. Horizontally set with three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats, surrounded by thirty round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carat, in stepped rows to top and bottom, diamond points to the centre and two rows flowing down the shoulders. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carats, to a stepped conforming cluster with rubover edging, intricate square backholing and an openwork gallery, leading to a solid tapered shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
