Diamonddrop earrings. A matching pair, each set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open backrubover setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, suspended from a smaller round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, further adorned with thirty six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, seventy two in total, with a combined weight of 2.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.80 carats, to an articulated drop earring flowing with movement, featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced linear gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure curving shepherd's hook with hinged back fitting, approximately 5cm in length. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1920.
