Art Deco colour change Ceylonsapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with an octagonal emerald-cutnatural unenhanced colour change Ceylon sapphire, blue in daylight, purple in incandescent light, in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 3.70 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, further adorned with eight round eight diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.38 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring double corner claws with grooved detail, millegrain edging, a linear pierced gallery and open backholing, the raised trumpeting shoulders flowing to a solid D-shapeshank. Markedplatinum, marked 'SMA', 'N', 'Y', 'K', circa 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80254-11 and by GPL report # 18240.
