Art Deco Royal Blue Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a single cushion shape old mine cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Burmese sapphire with an approximate weight of 1.98 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.15 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring double claw detail, a geometrically pierced gallery and shaped open backholing, leading to slightly raised shoulders and flowing to a smooth D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Gem Research Swiss Lab report #GRS2019-011773
