Art Deco Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.44 carats, flanked by six square step cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, further adorned by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.46 carats, to a solitaire of geometric design featuring corner claws, an intricately pierced gallery with scrollwork and open backholing, the slightly raised split shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank.
