Colour change Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a single octagonal emerald-cut natural unenhanced colour change blue/purple Ceylon sapphire, blue in daylight and purple in incandescent light in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 5.00 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.90 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring double claws, a geometrically structured gallery and open shaped backholing, leading to trumpeting raised shoulders and tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79222-03.
