Art Deco Burmese cabochon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire with an approximate weight of 13.95 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.30 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design with curving split claws, structured openwork collet and pierced open backholing, the trumpeting diamond set shoulders terminate before leading through to a solid ridged shank. Shank tested 18 carat white gold, settings tested platinum, circa 1925, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute report (SSEF) #105227.
