Victorian diamond solitaire ring. Set to centre with a single cushion shape old mine cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, to a solitaire design featuring a heavy conforming band, closed gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank. Tested rose gold, engraved 'Cherese 10 Juin 1881', circa 1881.
