Victorian five stone sapphire ring. Horizontally set with five oval old cutnatural unenhanced sapphires in open backclaw settings with an approximate total weight of 5.50 carats, further set with eight round rose cutdiamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate total weight of 0.08 carats, to a an ornate five stone featuring curving claws, a carved gallery with scrolling motifs and pierced open backholing, leading to shoulders carved with a foliate design and flowing through to a tapered D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by GPL report #03805.
