Description
Victorian ruby and diamond snake ring. Set with one round old cut diamond in an open backgrain setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further set with four round old cut rubies in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.35 carats, to a yellow gold ring in the form of a coiled serpent with engraved detailing and shaped back holing, the trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900.
