Antique ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, encircled by a single row of channel set tapered calibre cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, further set with a border of thirty six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carats, to an elegant octagonal cluster design featuring millegrain edging, an ornate scrolling openwork gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by trumpeting openwork shoulders flowing down to a solid ridged flat shank. Tested platinum, engraved to the interior '15 août 1911', circa 1911.
