Antique diamond five stone ring. Horizontally set with five cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.00 carats, further set with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.08 carats, to a graduated five stone design, featuring curving claws, a finely pierced gallery and intricate open backholing, flanked by raised shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, numbered '270', circa 1890.
