Antique diamond and mother of pearl cufflinks by Groene & Darde. A matching pair, set with a total of one hundred and thirty six round rose cut diamonds in grain and cutdown settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to two crossover central rows and to the border of four circular concave mother of pearl discs, with intricate backholing and fitted to reverse with yellow gold push bar fitting. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum, maker's mark for Groene & Darde, French, circa 1910.
Groene & Darde made jewellery for Suzanne Belperron, the influencial French jewellery designer who previously worked for Boivin.
