Antique diamond and calibré cut ruby ring. Set to centre and surrounded by seventeen round old cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, embellished at the cardinal points with four triangular step cut natural unenhanced rubies with a combined approximate weight of 0.12 carats, to a rounded marquise shape openwork cluster ring with geometric millegrain borders, open linear gallery and intricate backholing, flanked to either side with rounded shoulders which flow to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910.
