Victorian diamond solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to a carved solitaire design featuring a circular bezel, a polished gallery and open backholing, leading to ornately carved shoulders with foliate motifs and flowing through to a broad D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, English, circa 1890.
