Description

Ancient Greek gold filigree earrings. A matching pair, composed of yellow gold bell shape drops with intricate twisted wirework and granulated frames, with beaded granules and scrolling decoration, to shepherd hook fittings. Tested yellow gold, approximate weight 3.92g, circa 3rd - 2nd century BC.

These are museum quality earrings, and a very fine example of Ancient Greek craftsmanship, showcasing several highly technical goldworking techniques.
