 Description

Victorian ruby and diamond two row ring. Set with a row of seven cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.85 carats, adjacently set with a row of five cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back grain and claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.65 carats, to an impressive double row horizontal cluster design, featuring stylised claws, with an ornately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with ridged detail flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, numbered '1764', circa 1890.
