 Description

Victorian Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with three cushion shape old mine cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carat, encircled by twelve cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.10 carats, to an ornate cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open shaped backholing, leading to decoratively carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79215-46.
