For the majority of the 20th century, the workshop of Georges Lenfant was run by his son Jacques, who had joined as an apprentice in 1915. For the prolific Parisian jewellery 'maisons', such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boivin, and Hermes, he was trusted to create many of their gold jewellery designs. Lenfant's unparalleled skills as a goldsmith are evident in this remarkable ring, with his signature use of woven texture surrounding the rich green jade.
