Kutchinsky was a distinguished British jeweller whose history can be traced to the late 19th century, when the Kutchinsky family established itself in London after emigrating from Poland.

The firm became particularly prominent during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, earning a reputation for bold, beautifully crafted jewels characterised by sculptural forms and richly textured metal-work.

Similar necklaces can be seen in Kutchinsky’s catalogues, displaying the distinctive design characteristics for which the house became renowned.
