Victorian and pendant. Set to centre with a shape Topaz in an setting with an approximate weight of 1.45 , further set with thirty-seven cushion shape mixed old cut in open and and settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.80 carats to an elegant pendant featuring polished edges and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to top with a fine trace chain, pendant approximately 2.3cm in length, chain approximately 16" in length. Pendant yellow with settings, chain 18 carat yellow gold, 1880.

During the Victorian period, orange and golden Topaz from Brazil was highly prized for its warm, radiant hue, and was frequently incorporated into elaborate parures commissioned by European royalty and aristocracy. Among the most celebrated examples are the magnificent Imperial Topaz jewels of the Portuguese and Russian royal collections, which helped establish orange Topaz as one of the era's most fashionable and prestigious coloured gemstones.
