Yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to center with an oval old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.00 carats, surrounded by fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.56 carats, flanked further by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.64 carats to an elongated coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5785-2719.
