Victorian diamond solitaire ring. Set with a single oval old mine diamond in an open back cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 2.15 carats, to a solitaire design featuring curving claws, a polished gallery and open backholing, leading to split shoulders with a scrolling motif and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested silver, circa 1880.
