Georgian diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.85 carats, further set with ten round rose cut diamonds in closed back cut-down and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.35 carats to an impressive cluster design featuring cut down settings, a closed gallery and closed gadrooned backing, leading to shoulders with a fleur de lis motif that lead to a solid shank carved with 'John Cooke... 1766 at 76'. Tested yellow gold, settings tested silver, mid 19th Century.
