Ceylon sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural no heat Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.60 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds, one J colour, SI1 clarity with a weight of 1.04 carats, the other J colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 0.95 carats, both in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.99 carats, to an impressive three stone design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders which flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) reports #1232780773 and #6233780781.
