Natural pearl and diamond crossover ring, circa 1890.

Natural pearl and diamond crossover ring. Set with a round natural saltwater pearl, approximately 6.6-6.7 x 5.7mm, in a closed back half drilled setting, set diagonally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, additionally set with ten round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.02 carats, to an elegant crossover design featuring millegrain edging, a scalloped pierced collet and ornate backholing, flanked by scrolling shoulders which flow through to a solid ridged D-shape shank.
