Yellow Ceylon sapphire and diamond drop earrings. A matching pair of earrings, each set with an oval old cut natural no heat yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting, two in total with a combined weight of 6.16 carats, suspended from one round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further decorated with forty-four round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats.The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring millegrain edging, finely pierced galleries and fancy open backholing, fitted securely to the reverse with a post and butterfly, approximately 3.5cm in length. Earring and butterflies tested platinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5786-0777.
