A matching pair each set with 21 rectangular cut in part settings, 42 in total, with a combined approximate weight of 5.20 , further adorned by twenty round diamonds in open back rubover and settings, forty in total, with a combined weight of 4.20 carats, further decorated by eighteen round mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, thirty six in total with a combined weight of 0.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 10.30 carats, to an impressive pair of drop earrings featuring detail, intricately pierced geometric galleries and fancy shape open backholing, the earrings are beautifully articulated and flowing with movement, fitted to the back with secure hinge clip and post, approximately 6.5cm in length. Director's Notes

This style of earrings, and pendants, is first noted during Roman times, re-emerged during the Renaissance and persisted until the late Victorian period. With the revival of antique-style jewelry in the late 20th and early 21st centuries many adaptations of the chandelier earring are seen.
