Ancient Roman and earrings. A pair of yellow gold articulated earrings, each set to top with a pearl bead, suspending an elongated pyramid shape motif with scrolling to top and set below with a second natural pearl bead, four natural pearls in total, fitted to reverse with a secure hook fitting, approximately 4.8cm from top of hook. yellow gold, 3rd-4th century AD.

Complete matching earrings such as these are a rare survival from the ancient world. These earrings are a testament to the high level of skill of the craftsmen of the time and are in fine condition commensurate with their age.
