Set to centre with a shape Colombian emerald with minor oil with a weight of 2.70 in an setting, encircled by four cushion shape in open back with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats and four cushion shape old cut natural in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.40 carats, to an impressive cannetille design with intricate openwork and throughout, fancy open backholing and fitted to reverse with a secure pin and , approximately 3.2cm in length. yellow , 1830, accompanied by Tessiers Ltd fitted case and Gemmological Certification Services report #5785-1305.

Chairman's Notes

Cannetille was a technique seen during the first half of the nineteenth century, inspired by embroidery. Especially popular during the 1820s and 1830s, it features fine gold wires or thin sheets in decorative designs including coils, scrolls, rosettes and tendrils. Cannetille is highly decorative and often is embellished by coloured gemstones.
