 Description

Victorian colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement and no clarity enhancement in an open back claw and cutdown setting with an approximate weight of 1.18 carats, surrounded by eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.80 carats, to an elegant cluster design featuring fancy stylised claws, a conforming gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders flowing through to an ornately carved and etched solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF)#112670.
