Yellow Ceylon sapphire solitaire ring. Set with an octagonal emerald-cut natural unenhanced Ceylon yellow sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.30 carats, to a structured rectangular collet with curving claws, decorative cheniers and geometric backholing, flanked by raised open inwardly tapering shoulders which lead to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum with yellow gold settings, English, circa 1960, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81288-68.
