Victorian and sapphire diamond cluster ring. Set horizontally to centre with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further decorated with ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, to a tapering cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2954.
