Topaz and diamond cluster ring. Set with a natural unenhanced rectangular emerald-cut topaz in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 5.00 carats, further set with two horizontally set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, further adorned with an encircling row of fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to an elegant rectangular cluster design featuring corner claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing flanked by trumpeting openwork shoulders with cheniers leading to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, numbered '706', circa 1950.
