Set with an oval double brilliant cut natural unenhanced Madagascan sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.30 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring split curving claws, a geometrically pierced gallery and open oval backholing, leading to inwardly tapering raised shoulders with chenier detail, and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, English, circa 1980, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-1796.
