 Description

Deep Royal Blue Burmese sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape mixed cut natural unenhanced deep royal blue Burmese sapphire in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 1.38 carats, encircled by fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring polished scalloped edging, a decoratively pierced gallery with petal motifs and fancy shape open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders with chenier detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1915, accompanied by GemResearch SwissLab report #GRS2017-062596.
