Oscar Heyman Brothers star sapphire cocktail ring. Centrally set with an oval cabochon natural unenhanced star sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 18.00 carats, further set with sixteen square calibre cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back rubover channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.60 carats, to a bold cocktail design featuring four diagonal loops, curving claws, polished edges and intricate open backholing, flanked to either side by slightly raised smoothly conforming shoulders which flow through to a solid flat shank. Tested platinum, signed Oscar Heyman Brothers, numbered '24094', American, circa 1942.
