Opal and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon white opal with strong play of colour and an approximate weight of 4.00 carats in an open back yellow gold claw setting, encircled by a single row of twelve round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover millegrain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.80 carats, to an ornate openwork scrolling gallery with supportive shoulders and delicate cheniers, to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950.
