Old minediamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with an oval old mine diamond, F colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.00 carats in an open backrubover setting, encircled by eighteen round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate weight of 0.54 carats, further flanked by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with an approximate weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.78 carats, to an elegant elongated coronet cluster design featuring polished borders, an intricately pierced gallery with swirling motifs and fancy open backholing, leading to raised chamfered shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shapeshank. Markedplatinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2426276672.
