Set with a heart shape cabochon natural unenhanced opal in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.40 carats, surrounded sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with a total approximate weight of 0.80 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design trimmed with scalloped edging, finely pierced gallery with intricate petal motifs and shaped backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders leading down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, English, circa 1910.
