Heart shape opal and diamond cluster ring. Set with a heart shape cabochon natural unenhanced opal in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.40 carats, surrounded by sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a total approximate weight of 0.80 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring millegrain decoration throuout, a finely pierced openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders lead through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, English, circa 1910.
