 Description

Victorian diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set to top and bottom with three cushion shape old cut diamonds in an open and closed back claw settings, six in total with a combined weight of 0.54 carats, embellished by nine round rose cut diamonds in open and closed back grain settings, eighteen in total with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.74 carats, to an elegant drop earring suspending an articulated triangular central plaque, further decorated to bottom with a flower motif featuring scalloped edging, polished borders and circular backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure shepherd's hook, approximately 3.8cm in length from the top of hook. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1890.
