Set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.40 carats, flanked by six round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.06 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring split curving claws, millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with ridged detail, and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-1877.
