 Description

Burmese ruby and diamond flank solitaire ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back half rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.90 carats, flanked by eight tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an impressive flank solitaire design featuring polished edges, a smooth gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to broad trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-2774.
