Description

Art Deco Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.13 carats, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.25 carats, all to a geometric design featuring curving claws and polished edges, a pierced linear gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to solid shoulders and flowing through to a smooth shank. Tested platinum, indistinct marking to interior, numbered '269', circa 1925, accompanied by American Gemological Laboratories report #CS84435.
