Art Nouveau Burmese ruby and diamond trefoil ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, flanked by two drop shape old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats, further set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 0.03 carats, further adorned with ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.83 carats, to an elegant trefoil design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested rose gold and platinum, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80262-85.
