Set to centre with an oval Colombian emerald in an setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 , flanked by ten rectangular cut in open back settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further set with sixteen round diamonds in open back settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.05 carats, to an impressive flanked design featuring polished edges, a geometrically pierced and open backholing, leading to smooth and flowing through to a solid . , French import marks, 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81280-33.

One of oldest cuts dating back thousands of years gemstones were polished ‘en cabochon’ to realise the full potential of a stone’s colour, or to display desirable inclusions within the gemstone. In the case of emeralds such as this, their 'jardin' is displayed beautifully when cut in this manner and the sought after hue of a Colombian emerald comes to the fore.
