Antique ruby and diamond saddle ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced ruby to centre in an open back silver cutdown setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, flanked and encircled by a single row of cushion shape old mine diamonds, eighteen in total, in open back silver cutdown settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.25 carats, to an oval saddle shaped cluster with intricate backholing, the elegant scrolling split shoulders leading down to a solid ridged D-shape shank. Mounted and set in silver and yellow gold, circa 1870.
