Antique Burmese ruby and diamond carved ring. Set with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.20 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats and two cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back grain and claw settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats and highlighted between with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate ruby weight is 1.55 carats, the total approximate diamond weight is 0.78 carats, to a carved half hoop design with intricate scrolling details, pierced backholing and further engraved highlights to the shoulders which lead directly through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80263-35.
